Jump In...The Water's Fine

"Blog." she says, still trying to convince me after all these months.  "I think you'll really like it and besides it'll give you a spot to showcase your jewelry creations.  I'll help you set it up."  If I remember correctly, this is exactly how my addiction to making jewelry started...different friend, same encouraging scenario...but that's a story for another day.

Now I find myself standing at the end of the high dive thinking...is this crazy....this seems like a huge commitment...how do I keep it fresh and interesting when I bore myself at times...oh yeah and I'm lazy too.  Trust me, I really tried talking myself out of doing this.

I don't jump of my own accord though...I have a group of family and friends nudging me to get the word out.  Personally, I think they are getting a little tired (and poorer) of buying my creations and funding my addiction...really Lizz...nudge nudge...you need to...push push...expand your...prod prod...customer base...whoosh.

Splash!!  So I hold my breath and jump off because I see that my really good friend, Shyrlene, is already in the water and having a blast splashing around.  She's been swimming in the blogosphere for 2 years now...holy smokes girl...you're gonna get all pruney.  You can find Shyrlene having fun in her garden at her blog "The Bunnies Buffet" at http://thebunniesbuffet.blogspot.com/.

A free form beaded bracelet inspired by my favorite place to be...the ocean.

Truly, my friends and family have been very generous with their compliments and purchases and I am thankful for all of their support.  And by draping themselves in their sparkly purchases, they are getting the word out to another circle of their friends.  In turn, saving themselves from feeling obligated to further financially support me (my evil plan worked).   This really is the right thing to do...thanks Shyrlene...sometimes you know me better than I know myself.

Close up of a bracelet section.

Oh...and Shyrlene...this blogging thing is not as intuitive as you said...thanks for being in the deep end to catch me and showing me the ropes out here in the blogosphere.

All made from a bead soup of leftovers.

So welcome to all of you that have ventured here...come on in...jump in...the water really is fine.  Marco...
